Take action to tell Chairman Lang and your State Rep to revive SB 13 and grant it a hearing in the House Criminal Justice Committee. SB 13 passed the Senate unanimously in June 2019 and has been stalled in the House since then. The bipartisan bill, which passed the House during the last GA, would help protect and rescue Ohio’s minors from the horrors of sex trafficking rather than arrest and unjustly convict them. Passing SB 13 would also bring Ohio into compliance with federal law, making available additional resources for the broader anti-human trafficking effort in the state.
Thank you for your time. There is no action for you to take at this time as a non-Ohio resident. You can support LWV Ohio by making a donation.
Thank you for writing to your State Rep. Take the next step and call the Chairman of the House Criminal Justice Committee to ask that he revive this bill: Rep Lang at 614-466-8550.
